Drag car , car retains original components and frame , magazine feature car 2nd
owner of this car, bought in Wash. DC and driven to Maryland, 95 miles. That's what's on the speedometer. The original
owner was Charlie Hamp. It was a new, 70 Camaro, 396, 375HP (L78) 4 speed, 12 bolt. It races in NY, NJ, CT, and PA. It ran
super stock. The best time was S/E 11.02, 124,48 MPH. As a bracket car it ran 10.26 at 126 MPH. It has a
4 link cage 6 point bar, Dana 60, pro axels, spool 57, Hemi 4 speed box, blow shield, new GM 502 GM aluminum
heads, Holly carb, GM aluminum intake, all trick wheels, cragar, rear tires are 15 by 33. All suspension was done by Trans
End in NJ. The car has history as an SS car and may have held a record. Now it is a Semi, street car, with wiper, horn,
buzzer works with key in, full exhaust. It is old school race car and can be raced. It's a very nice car. Last time
out was 1984. It's been sitting in a museum ever since. This is a once in a lifetime to have a real nice nostalgia car.
It won't happen again. An article was done on this car and a cover photo with Bill Jenkins and Bob Glidden; Hot Cars,
May 1975.

This car is a 138 car. It has a protecto plate. Although the original
motor is gone, I have a rebuilt 67 CHEVELLE MOTOR that goes with it. The odometer
says 57,000 miles, it has power steering, 2 speed automatic, 12 bolt rear, and lots of parts to go with the car. Last owned for 10-12 years. It has a nice body. It needs some work. It has nice interior and glass,
the vinyl top is original. This is a drum brake car but have '67 4 caliper brakes system for the car.

History: The Charger 500, with a Coronet grille and a flush
rear window, The main reason the Charger 500 was built was to eliminate aerodynamic problems that hurt it in comparison
to Ford's lower-power but more slippery racing models, .500 were sold in accordance with NASCAR rules. The Charger 500
was designed for the performance-minded driver. At first glance it looks much like the standard Charger, but it has two major
differences. The rear window has been slanted more so that it is flush with the trailing edge of the rear window pillars.
The basic Charger and Charger R/T have a "tunnel roof" and the rear window is slanted less. The grille is flush mounted instead
of recessed to improve air flow and the headlights are fixed instead of concealed as in the Charger and Charger R/T. The 500
is powered by the 426 cubic inch Hemi engine. The Charger 500 was built to a NASCAR requirement to allow Chargers to race
on the stock car circuit. (Flush mounting provided a tremendous aerodynamic advantage which was to culminate in the Charger
Daytona.)

I bought this black 55 t-bird recently from AnB Classics... the pix i'm sending are from
our "DREAM CRUISE" here in Michigan. I have to tell you that I am sooo happy with this car!
Everyone including my mechanic says it's one of the cleanest cars for its age they've ever seen!
Underneath as well... After my mechanic figured
out how to start it properly, all was well. We thought the battery might be bad but it turns out I was flooding it!
Well I learned how to drive it and she runs beautifully! She got tons of props at the cruise and my daughter aliena
and I just love tooling around in it. I plan on taking excellent care of her so that I can pass her down to her one day.
